Full Wrap Gallery Front Only Mirrored Edge

Full Gallery Wrap

A bleed edge or 'gallery wrap' is created when your images are wrapped around the sides of the canvas.

If your image has critical elements close to the edge it may not be suitable for gallery wrapping.

We can advise and will always email a 'wrap proof' to illustrate which parts of the image will appear on the front and which parts will be on the sides.

Front Only

We print your images on the front surface of the canvas whilst the edges remain white or are printed black or a colour of your choice from the image.

This finish is ideal if there is critical detail towards the edges of your images which would be lost around the sides of the canvas if you choose a bleed edge.

Mirrored Edge

This is an excellent way to create a gallery wrap effect without losing the composition of your image.

We copy detail from the edge of your image and flip it over to add extra printing detail to allow for the depth of the stretcher bars.

Black & White

There are many ways to convert to a black and white image from digital image. The one we use, which we believe offers the most flexibility, is to mix the separate RGB Channels to give the required Black & White tonal effect.

We do not use the simple method of converting an image in RGB mode to Greyscale as this destroys two-thirds of the image data as this method effectively compresses three channels into one - a single greyscale channel.

We do not charge for this service.

Sepia

Using sepia-toning we can create the appearance of an aged photograph evoking the stylish look of 19th and early 20th century photography.

This appearance can be created digitally with a high level of tonal flexibility.

Cost: £10 per image

Sketch

This process converts a digital coloured image to create the appearance of a pencil sketch and is especially effective when a splash of colour is added from the original image.

This method can create a great impact with images of children, and with the additions of text, could be used to produce a unique effect similar to a page from a comic strip.

Cost: £15 per image

Colour Selection

This is a very popular process whereby the image is converted to Black & White whilst retaining an area of the original colour or dependant upon the image a more effective desaturated version of the colour in the original image.

Cost: £20 per image

Lomo Kompact

The Lomo Kompact was a Russian made camera with optics which produced vivid, highly saturated imageswith a slight black vignetting in the corners.

'Lomography' has many enthusiastic admirers and societies around the world who still use this traditionalfilm camera to achieve the unique effects produced by its use.

Cost: £15 per image

Cross-Processing

Traditionally Cross-processing occurs when the incorrect chemicals are used to process colour film resultingn an image with unnatural colour shifts, heightened contrast and highlights which normally have a yellow-reen colour cast.

Our process digitally simulates this traditional colour cross processing to create effects often characterized by unnatural colors and high contrast and as the results will differ from image to image, we will submit the result to you before printing.

Cost: £15 per image
