Artwork & Design Alterations

Artwork & Graphics

The ability to add graphics, placement prints, artwork, embroidery and other embellishments further adds to the authenticity and realism of our printed images.

Design Changes

"The garment is exactly correct for styling, except for ........." The digital imaging skills within our team also allow certain design amendments to be made to the supplied "Donor" garments.

Component "Cloning"

For larger design changes we can also "clone" elements from one garment onto another.

Graphics, Placement Prints & Artwork

The cost of producing garments with embellishment or placement prints could be prohibitive at an early stage of design and garment review which is why our facility to accurately position graphics onto our innovative Virtual Garments is an option used by many of our clients, across differing products types; Ladieswear, Menswear & Childrenswear and Sportswear.

Virtual Garments can be produced at a fraction of the true cost of producing real garment samples and is significantly faster than producing embellished garments and offers designers greater flexibility.

In addition to artwork we can also add embroidery or lace onto a plain 'donor' garment.

If required the graphics can be given an embossed appearance or created to replicate the aesthetic appearance of discharge printing; a process whereby the colour of the existing garment is removed at the same time as applying the new print colour thus giving the appearance of the fabric being dyed those colours rather than a surface effect.

This is illustrated by the sections on the left of a Virtual Garment produced for Delta Galil.

NIKE use our Virtual Garment service, on a life size full body mannequin, to greatly enhance the impact of their presentations around the world, to prestigious clients including the Football Federations of Brazil, The Netherlands, Portugal and the USA and clubs such as Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus and Celtic and many others.

Differing graphics and artwork, including club and country crests, team numbers, the Nike 'swoosh' and sponsors logos were supplied for us to incorporate into our colour accurate Virtual Garments for the numerous teams Nike represent globally.

These graphics are accurately positioned; colour matched to the requested illuminant and after approval, printed life size suitable for display as 'pop-up banners'.

Design Changes

We often receive requests to make small style adjustments on the 'Donor' garment before we process, re-colour or 'map' the image, most of which are achievable. This service is very useful to our clients who wish to include last-minute design amendments for their range reviews and buying meetings.

Although what can be achieved, whilst keeping the realism of the garment, will vary from garment to garment this service is ideally suited for small design changes such as the removal or addition of components such as the examples listed below:

  • Hems & cuffs resized or removed
  • Buttons added or removed
  • Long sleeved garments altered to short sleeve garments
  • Lines of stitching removed or moved
  • Pockets removed or re-positioned
  • Company labels removed and replaced with a new version or added where no label exists

NB - We are unable to undertake work that infringes the intellectual property rights of other designers, design houses or companies.

Component "Cloning"

As an additional redesign service we can take certain components from an image of one garment to add to the image of the 'donor'. This 'cloning' of components can be especially useful if a style needs additional elements or is made from an expensive fabric and a second garment cannot be made.

An example of this 'cloning'. A collar taken from one garment and 'cloned' onto another. We have also taken buttons & pockets from one Ladieswear garment to add onto another garment.

What Do We Need?                 We need 3 items to produce Virtual Garments with Artwork or Design Changes.
